Welcome to Detroit.D33 Wikispace

What is a wikispace?

A wikspace is a online page with it’s own address. It can be edited and added to with new information and it is also collaborative. It can be accessed from any laptop or device. It can be edited by more than one person and it can be done safely. A Wikispace is protected and private by default. It can be made accessible to the public through the wikispace settings at a later time. You invite those individuals to become members. This can be done via email or you can create groups of wikispace accounts quickly and easily via the "user creator" tool. Pages on the wikspace are like webpages. All wikispace pages can be edited by all members (or not, the administrator can control it).

What does it do?

A wikispace can do and be used for a variety of things including a place to store work, collect & present data in a tidy or creative way. You can upload photos, widgets, videos and much more.

Discussions are a valuable part of Wikispaces. Ask a driving question to start a discusion, members can ask questions, debates, carry on a dialogue. Be creative. It's a tool that can serve as a collaboration platform throughout the process of a project. The final project doesn't have to be a wikispace, it could be a collection of products like videos, websites (ie created on Weebly.com), audio podcast, etc. The Wikispace can serve as the workshop or workspace where all the rigor, discussions, and debates take place.
